The DOL 28 sensor is a unique 30 mm capacitive relay sensor for detection of feed, grain, and solids in a feeding system. The sensor features a built-in powerful relay with switch function.

A capacitive relay sensor is typically used as empty, full, and level indicator in tanks, silos, and containers. The powerful integrated relay in DOL 28 means that it can control many functions directly.

This sensor is designed for controlling the filling and emptying process in feeding supply systems and comes with a 2-meter (6.6 feet) cable.

Feed Sensor with Integrated Light for Poultry

The sensor has a white LED for illuminating the feed pan. DOL 28 feed sensor is intended for feed pans in poultry production, where the light will ensure that the pan with the sensor gets attention from the birds. It is recommended to place the sensor on the feed pan farthest from the hopper to ensure a stable feed supply.

Compared to discrete light solutions, DOL 28 is very easy to install and can also be used for upgrading existing feed systems with an integrated light solution.

The feed sensor has a light intensity at 0,3m (1 foot) higher than 100 lux.

Easy to Operate

DOL 28 capacitive relay sensor is sturdy and easy to operate.

Two trimmers or the SmartAdjust App make it easy to change settings of product parameters depending on the model.

Delayed disconnection

When the sensor is deactivated, the time delay starts. Fixed time or adjustable time.

Delayed connection

When the sensor is activated, the time delay starts. Fixed time or adjustable time.

Sensitivity

Fixed distance or adjustable distance.

A red LED clearly indicates the current status of the relay sensor and a green LED indicating power on sensor.

Reliability

The use of electronic rather than mechanic switches in DOL 28 ensures a unique reliability.  Particularly as the electronics are completely encapsulated in special plastic, which provides maximum protection against humidity and other external influences in harsh environments.

The DOL 28 sensor come with IP69k and NEMA 1, 3, 4, 6, 12, 13 protection.

The sensor is also CE, C-UL and UL approved and has a high immunity to noise from electric communication (i.e. from a mobile phone) and transients (i.e. from motors and contactors). This makes the sensor very reliable.

Mounting

The DOL 28 capacitive relay sensor is easily mounted in a plastic gland, which is also available as a flange solution for easy external mounting.

Likewise, the sensors are supplied with thread, which provides several mounting options.

DOL 28 Variants

Smooth and threaded housing

DOL 28 and iDOL 28 with NFC comes with threaded or smooth housing.

The NFC versions can be adjusted with the SmartAdjust App. The app makes it possible to do more with one sensor. For example, you can configure your iDOL sensors to have on/off delay and Max Run Timer at the same time. It is possible to copy settings to multiple sensors allowing you to preconfigure sensors with same settings before installation.
