DOL Wireless Grain Sensor CSS-TM

DOL Wireless Grain Sensor CSS-TM is a wireless sensor spear designed for grain monitoring to prevent damage of crops. The grain sensor accurately monitors the temperature and moisture of plan stored crops. It is portable and therefore easily moved to where it is needed.

The data from the sensor is displayed in the AgroLog App on your smartphone. The app sends notifications when critical thresholds are reached. Data is automatically updated every hour, but you can also make manual measurements when needed. The app has a subscription fee of 108 EUR per sensor spear for 3 years.

The spear comes with a replaceable 3.6V Lithium battery with +2 years battery life.

Up to 1/3 of the global harvest is lost during storage

A study from the Special Issue of Sustainability “Sustainability in Food Consumption and Food Security“, shows that up to 1/3 of the global harvest is lost during storage where moisture and temperature are key factors.

To ensure secure long-term storage and avoid spoilage and shrinkage, it is essential to consistently monitor and manage the temperature of stored crops. Ideally, maintaining temperatures around 5°C is crucial, as it significantly reduces the risk of insect infestations and mold development. Lower grain temperatures also effectively inhibit insect reproduction and prevent their activity within the storage facility. Futhermore, monitoring moisture is crucial during storage of crops since excessive moisture can result in spoilage, fungal proliferation, and diminished quality.

The two moisture sensors and three temperature sensors along the length of the wireless spear guarantee a full and accurate report of the crops.

Get notified when critical thresholds are reached

DOL Wireless Grain Sensor CSS-TM is equipped with a SIM card and fully wireless. This means that the grain sensor operates without the need for a gateway or extra connections nearby the barn. Since the grain spear is wireless there is no need for proximity to see data, and you can check your crops on the move without going to location.

The grain spear is linked to the AgroLog App, enabling you to instantly access all the gathered data on your smartphone from anywhere. This versatile app not only lets you monitor your crops and review historical data but also sends notifications in case of moisture or temperature fluctuations. You can set up your own thresholds in the app to get notifications when they are reached.

In this way you will always have control over your crops.

Suitable for various crops

The versatility of the grain sensor makes it an invaluable tool for farmers and farm managers. Its suitability extends to a wide range of crops, providing valuable insights and data for optimal crop management. Whether you’re cultivating barley, wheat, or other types of grain, corn, potatoes, beets, woodchips, and various types of beans, the grain sensor ensures that you have access to real-time information on temperature and moisture in the stored crops.

Thus, the grain sensor takes the guesswork out of crop management.

Easy to use

The grain sensor is calibrated to provide highly precise measurements and features a user-friendly interface that makes it easy to operate even for those without extensive technical knowledge. Since the spear is wireless it can be moved to wherever you need it with no need for calibration.
