DOL 16 is a sensor designed to measure light intensity in livestock house environments but is also well suited for a number of industrial applications.
DOL 16 light sensor is applicable for registration and control of light levels. It is typically used in poultry houses and mating sections in pig productions. In livestock houses, a continuous control of light levels results in better production results and reduces power consumption.
The sensor has two analogue outputs whose output signals represent 0 to 100 LUX and 0 to 1000 LUX respectively. In order to get the most correct light measurement, the position of the sensor should be representative for the light in the house.
The sensor is available in two variants: with a fixed cable and with an M12 connector/cable. We recommend using only the variant with the fixed cable for livestock house environments.
The design of DOL 16 light sensor is similar to DOL 114 humidity and temperature sensor, but the design differs in that it has a distinct white sleeve at the end of the cable. DOL 16 is available without protection cap, as the sensor does not require special protection in connection with washing and disinfection procedures.
A two-colour light emitting diode (LED) communicates operation status and error diagnostics.
